What Is Included in Your Home or Apartment Move?
We move household belongings, including furniture, appliances, oversized pieces and other heavy items. We can wrap and protect furniture, take it apart and put it back together, carry it on stairs, load and unload it, and place it where you want it.
Tell us which of those tasks you need. A move with furniture to take apart or several flights of stairs needs different details from a move with the same items and easier access.
02
What Should You Share About Both Homes?
List the items, pickup and delivery addresses, preferred date, and stairs or elevator details at both places. Photos and dimensions or weight, when available, help show the pieces that need moving.
A walkthrough video can show the furniture and the route out of your current home. Include what you know about the destination too, rather than showing only the place you are leaving.
03
Moving Some Items and Removing Others?
Separate the belongings you are keeping from unwanted furniture or appliances you want picked up for disposal. If you need both services, include both lists in your request so the reviewed work is clear.

Does Your Alexandria Move Fit the Service Area?
Heavy Friends Movers works within a confirmed 30-mile service area from its Alexandria base, covering parts of Virginia, Washington, DC, and Maryland. Share the pickup and destination addresses so we can confirm whether your job is within that area. A city name alone does not confirm coverage for every address.

How Do You Get a Written Moving Quote?
Send photos or a walkthrough video, or request a free in-home estimate. Heavy Friends sends your written quote within three hours after receiving the information needed to price the move or completing the in-home estimate. The written price covers the work reviewed. If that work stays the same, the price stays the same; if the work changes, the price may change.
