01
Which Unwanted Items Need to Be Removed?
Make a list of the furniture and appliances you want taken away. Include how many pieces there are and photos of them. Dimensions and weight, when available, can help describe large or heavy items.
Keep that list separate from furniture you want moved to another room or address. Removal is for unwanted items; moving is for belongings you are keeping.
02
Where Are the Items Now?
Share the pickup address, preferred date, and whether the items are upstairs, downstairs or reached by an elevator. Show the route out in photos or a video if it is hard to explain.
Tell us about any other work you need along with pickup. The quote should reflect the items and work reviewed, rather than leaving an extra task to discuss on the day.
03
Combining a Move with Old Furniture Removal?
You can ask for both. Mark which pieces go to your new place and which should be taken away for disposal. Include the moving destination and access details as well as the removal pickup details.
04
Does Your Alexandria Pickup Fit the Service Area?
Heavy Friends Movers works within a confirmed 30-mile service area from its Alexandria base, covering parts of Virginia, Washington, DC, and Maryland. Share the pickup address so we can confirm coverage. If your request includes a move, share the destination too. A city name alone does not confirm coverage for every address.
05
What Does the Removal Quote Cover?
Request a free quote with the list of unwanted items and access details. The written price covers the work reviewed. If that work stays the same, the price stays the same. Adding items or changing the work may change the price.
