Confirm the Purchase Is Ready for Pickup

Ask the store when the item will be ready and what someone collecting it needs to bring or show. Keep the order details and the store contact handy.

Share any pickup instructions with the mover. A preferred delivery date and a store-ready date are separate details; confirm both rather than assuming they match.

Describe the Furniture Being Collected

List the pieces and quantities. Send product photos or photos of the actual items if you have them, with dimensions and weight when available.

Ask whether the furniture will be assembled or in separate pieces at pickup. Pass that answer along so the mover can review what needs carrying and whether disassembly or reassembly is part of the work.

Check the Pickup and Delivery Routes

Give the store pickup address and your delivery address, plus any stairs or elevator details at each. Tell the mover about instructions from the store or building that affect access.

Think beyond reaching your address: explain which room or floor the furniture should go to. The route to that spot is part of describing the delivery job.

Include Protection, Placement and Old Furniture Removal

Tell us whether you need wrapping, furniture taken apart and put back together, or placement in a particular room. Heavy Friends can review those tasks with the pickup and delivery.

If an old couch, table or appliance needs to be taken away for disposal, list it separately from the new furniture being delivered. A new purchase does not by itself describe that extra removal work.
